Seeing your writing through another’s eyes . . .
It’s interesting when a writer gets to see his work through the eyes of a reader. Sarah. from the blog, That Bookish Girl, picked her favorite quotes out of The Lens and the Looker, and it made me pause and think, “Did I write that? I didn’t know I was so poetic.”
Here’s a few of her choices;
– “They stood in the middle of the road, hands clasped together for the first time, their eyes and lips close. Hansum couldn’t tell if it was the gravity of the moon shining in the sky or that of their young hearts, but he felt them being pulled together.”
– “Hansum finally came up from his deep well of delicious drowning and looked into Guilietta’s eyes. He could now see in her that instant familiarity which each person instinctively craves.”
– “. . . it’s everyone’s world, Romero. But it can also be very beautiful. Father Aaron once told me that life is a dance. A dance where we live with one foot in Heaven and one foot in Hell. We dance back and forth between the two and are given a choice. Life is learning to always dance back into Heaven.”

I’ve read and reviewed books #1 nd #2. Not terribly patiently awaiting book #3!
Sorry you have to wait for the conclusion of the trilogy, Nancy. I’m working hard on it now and with hopes for a few new twists that will keep it fresh and the readers guessing at what will happen on the final page.
I’d love to see your reviews of the first two novels, if I haven’t already. What is your website, so we can all have a look at your comments?
Cheers
Lory
